STA alternatives: signals, bots and manual trading

STA alternatives compared: screens with market charts used to evaluate signals, bots and manual trading
In short. There are three alternatives to STA: trading on your own, following a signal channel or relying on an automated bot. They differ in who decides, where the funds stay, how much time they take and what you can verify afterwards. None of them is free of risk: the useful question is not which one earns more, but which one you can understand, control and try first on a demo account.

What are the alternatives to STA?

Anyone looking for STA alternatives is usually already weighing how to move in the markets without spending hours in front of charts. There are four real paths, and they differ in one thing only: who makes the decision and how much control you have over it. On this page we line them up on the same grid, with no product names and without saying that one beats the others.

No column promises results. The table shows where the control lies, not where the profit lies.

Trading on your own: what should you know?

It is the most transparent path, because every choice is yours, and the most demanding. It takes time for analysis, discipline to respect the stop and a way not to be driven by emotions, a topic the guide to trading psychology tackles head on. If you are starting from here, begin with a demo account: the method is tested before you put anything at risk.

Is a signal channel an alternative to STA?

In part. A signal is the indication of a trade that is already set up, with entry, stop and target. The difference lies in what you can check: many channels show only the trades that went well, and without a complete history it is hard to tell how much the author is worth. Before following one, the guide to reliable crypto trading signals lists the checks to make, and the one on AI trading signals explains what a model can and cannot do.

Does an automated bot do the same job?

A bot runs rules decided in advance, mechanically, even when the market changes character. It can remove emotion, but it moves the risk onto the quality of the rules and onto the handling of API keys, which need careful treatment. You can find how to think about these tools in the page on automated trading and in the one on API key permissions on OKX.

What does STA do differently, in concrete terms?

STA is not a promise of returns and we don't present it as one. These are facts you can check.

  1. Ten artificial intelligence agents analyse the markets twice a day, with a debate between a Bull and a Bear before every card.
  2. Every card has a stop decided before entering, and cards closed at a loss stay in the history.
  3. The funds stay in your OKX account. The API keys have read and trading permissions; the withdrawal permission is only needed to collect the accrued fee, and during the launch phase it is suspended.
  4. The history is public: the hashes of the cards are on GitHub and are stamped every day with OpenTimestamps, so anyone can check them.
  5. The DEMO is free forever, with real prices and the same cards as REAL. An account is required.

That's 175 markets on OKX Europe, including 44 US stocks and ETFs, and for now there is only the web version.

How do you choose between these paths?

Four questions help more than any ranking. How much time do you want to spend each day? How much are you willing to lose per trade, as the guide to risk management? Where do your funds stay, and with what permissions? And above all: can you check what you are shown, losses included?

If your answer to the last one is no, the choice is already made. A platform that shows only the wins is not giving you information, it is giving you advertising: in the guide on how to recognise a reliable trading platform you will find the other warning signs. The big picture, from the start, is in the guide to mindful online trading.

How much does STA cost compared with the alternatives?

During the launch phase, which began on 16 October 2026, STA's fees are temporarily disabled, even in REAL. The standard price list, suspended for as long as the launch lasts, is 18% of the positive net result of each day, with no offsetting of losses. The DEMO costs nothing. Trading still carries a high level of risk, including the loss of all your capital, whichever tool you choose.

Frequently asked questions

What are the alternatives to STA?Trade manually, follow a signal channel or use an automated bot. What changes is who decides, where the funds stay and what you can verify afterwards. None of them promises results.
Is a bot better, or STA's cards? It depends on what you want to control. A bot runs fixed rules, while STA proposes cards with stops decided by ten agents and you confirm them. In both cases, trying first on a demo account matters.
How do you verify a signal service?Ask for a complete history with the losses, check that the funds stay in your own account and try first on a demo account. If all you see are winning trades, you don't have enough information.
